Overview

My client is a main contractor on hotels, mixed‑use schemes, residential high‑rise and change of use schemes across the major cities in the UK.

The scheme is site‑based, dealing with procurement of subcontract packages on a £33 million mixed‑use residential scheme (the first phase of 3 similar blocks). It starts with the refurbishment of one of the existing tower blocks, covering both internal and external facades packages.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the MQS for the project and working with the operational team, you will be well versed in handling live schemes and fast‑paced procurement to assist the commercial team in handing this project over successfully.

Qualifications

Ideally you will be degree qualified or hold an HNC/ONC and have experience with large, logistically challenging schemes previously in excess of £25 million.

Candidates must have worked for a main contractor or developer on high‑rise RC buildings over 6 stories in height. You will be used to working on projects over £25 million and be able to display a hands‑on approach to commercial management of schemes on a design‑and‑build basis.

You must demonstrate a high level of computer literacy and technical construction knowledge. This role suits someone who is hands‑on, locally based in Hampshire, and happy to work as part of the commercial team on site.
