You'll be joining a supportive and entrepreneurial environment where you'll have genuine responsibility, the opportunity to make an impact and clear scope for career progression.

The Role

As Site Manager, you'll take ownership of a team and package of works, ensuring activities are properly planned, programmed, resourced and delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Given the nature of the project, marine, coastal or waterfront civil engineering experience would be highly advantageous.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing the delivery of civil engineering and marine/coastal works.
  • Overseeing concrete, demolition and associated civils activities.
  • Driving a proactive and robust health & safety culture.
  • Planning, programming and resourcing works to meet project requirements.
  • Coordinating site activities and ensuring works are delivered to programme.
  • Managing temporary works and underground services requirements.
  • Working closely with project management, engineering and subcontract teams.
  • Ensuring quality, safety and environmental standards are consistently maintained.
  • Providing strong leadership and creating a positive, high-performing site environment.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Site Manager who has a proven track record of leading teams and successfully delivering complex infrastructure projects. Marine experience is particularly desirable, including experience working on:

  • Marine infrastructure and coastal schemes
  • Ports, harbours or waterfront developments
  • Marine concrete and structural works
  • Sea walls, quay walls or other coastal structures
  • Demolition or enabling works within marine environments

You’ll also ideally have:

  • Strong experience leading civil engineering site teams.
  • Experience managing health & safety compliance on major projects.
  • Experience working with a direct delivery workforce.
  • Strong planning and programming capability.
  • CSCS card relevant to the role.
  • SMSTS.
  • Temporary Works Supervisor/Coordinator qualification.

Above all, we're looking for someone who is hands-on, proactive and commercially aware, with the leadership skills to drive delivery and maintain high standards across a busy site.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for a Site Manager to take on a high-profile marine/civil engineering project in Dover, working within an ambitious business where your contribution will be recognised. If you have strong civil engineering experience and a background in marine, coastal or port-related projects, this could be an excellent next step in your career.
