Opportunity to join a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor in their new build residential division as a Cost Planner.

About the role of Cost Planner:

We are looking for a Cost Planner who has experience across the new build residential sector to join our team in London or Hertfordshire. We are a privately owned multi-million-pound tier 1 main contractor, operating at the top end of the construction market delivering large, complex, high-value projects for both the public & private sector. For this role, we need someone who has experience in the front end of cost planning and comes from a developer background, not someone who has worked for a main contractor in the residential market as you will be working on new build residential schemes, valued £30m up to £100m+.

Responsibilities for Cost Planner:

  • Early stage cost planning
  • Driving design to hit budget
  • Benchmarking & data analysis
  • Working with internal teams such as bid/pre con, development managers, commercial team etc
  • Risk, opportunity & strategy
  • Forecast & reporting

Requirements for Cost Planner:

  • Experience in New Build Residential
  • Developer background, not main contractor
  • Experience working on higher value schemes
  • Experience in the front end of cost planning
