About the role of Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

As an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. You will seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money while still achieving the required standards and quality.

The responsibilities of an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

1. Assist with tenders and procurement processes.
2. Provide general administrative support to the site commercial team.
3. Assist in the management of project risks and opportunities.
4. Assist in preparing costs estimates and financial reports.
5. Liaise with Cost Planning, Buying and Technical to ensure accurate budget preparation.

Requirements for Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

1. Degree in Quantity Surveying desirable
2. 2 years experience at a similar level working on housing developments
3. Must have good knowledge of JCT Design & Build contracts
4. Knowledge of cost control systems and valuation reporting
