An established and growing main contractor based in Hythe, Kent is looking to recruit an intermediate Estimator to join its build division. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 2 years' estimating experience within the construction sector who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking team. This role focuses on build projects, working across a varied portfolio.
The Role:
- Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Conducting take-offs and producing Bills of Quantities where required
- Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
- Supporting the commercial and project delivery teams
- Assisting with value engineering and cost planning
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a construction estimating role (build sector)
- Strong understanding of construction processes and materials
- Good knowledge of pricing software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
