The role: As the Site Painter and Decorator, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality painting and decorating work across the site. This will include preparing surfaces, applying paint, varnishes and other finishes, and ensuring all work is completed to a professional standard ready for property handovers. You will also be required to assist with minor snagging, touch-ups and finishing work on completed properties, ensuring each home meets the required quality standards. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment and supporting other trades where necessary will also form part of the role.
About you: Ideally, you will have previous experience working as a Painter and Decorator on construction or residential sites. You will be confident in preparing surfaces, applying finishes, and completing work to a high standard within set deadlines. You will be aware of health and safety procedures on site and mindful of others working around you. You will arrive on time, complete your shift as directed by the site manager, and be willing to assist with additional tasks when required.
To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Previous experience as a Painter and Decorator
- Ability to carry out preparation work including sanding, filling and priming surfaces
- Experience applying paint, gloss, emulsions and other finishes to a high standard
- A valid CSCS Card
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work independently when required
