Overview
Health & Safety Advisor required to join a regional civil engineering contractor based in Yeovil. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business with an extensive background as a reputable contractor. The Health & Safety Advisor will play a key part in the development and future of the business, reporting directly to the Health & Safety Manager. Traditionally these are negotiated projects for key clients with a good pipeline of future works across Exeter, Dorset, Bristol & Somerset.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Health & Safety Manager and work alongside site teams and clients to drive Health & Safety across projects.
- Develop health & safety policies and procedures within the business.
- Regular client liaison, review construction methodology, monitor health & safety standards.
- Prepare and manage risk assessments and method statements; oversee quality control, identify and mitigate potential risks, resolve issues, and ensure best practice is followed.
About the role and team
This Health & Safety Advisor role is with a busy regional South West based civils contractor group, with a turnover in excess of £80m, and secured pipeline of future works. This is an ideal opportunity for a Trainee Health & Safety advisor looking to grow and develop working regionally, with a professional & personal progression plan in place for the right candidate to grow as the business develops.
