The role will start from an already demolished site and involve all the groundwork, structures, and fit-out across the scheme over the next 26 months with the steel framed buildings and associated car parks and office space.
My client works nationally on industrial, retail, education, and leisure schemes ranging from £10 - £100 million and has a number of ongoing schemes in early stages.
The ideal candidate will be part of the team reporting to the Project Manager and looking after their own section of works throughout the project. Responsibilities include:
- Programming and planning of works alongside daily, weekly, and monthly team meetings with both subcontractors and clients as required.
- Running particular subcontractor packages to ensure they are working to target and safely.
- Enabling the Project Manager to deal with the client's representative regarding programme changes, updates, issues, and technical queries.
- Driving the site and ensuring safety and quality throughout.
You will be supported by the established Project Manager and Contracts Manager, working together to deliver the scheme safely, on time, and to budget. Experience in coordinating and managing both construction and fit-out teams across the project is essential, with updates to the short-term programme on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
- Applicants will ideally have a civil engineering background and have delivered fast-paced steel framed distribution centre projects in the past.
- Must have up-to-date CSCS, SMSTS, and first aid certifications.
- Experience in managing health and safety and starting projects up through to the finishing stages/handover.
