Freelance: £300 - 400 per day dependant on project

Duration: Ongoing / long term / short term

We are hiring for Freelance Site Engineers for upcoming commercial projects in the Northwest and Yorkshire. If you are a Site Engineer and are/will be looking for work, apply below and we can have a chat!

Key Responsibilities of a Freelance Site Engineer:
  • Carrying out setting out for works (foundations, drainage, steel frames etc)
  • Use surveying equipment (Total Station, GPS) to establish site control points
  • Check line, level, and dimensions of work before and during construction
  • Interpret and work from drawings and specifications, identify discrepancies or design issues and raise RFIs
  • Monitor quality and ensure compliance with specifications
  • Assist with snagging and defect resolution
  • Ensure all works carried out compliant with H&S
  • Support site managers in tracking progress
  • Maintain daily and weekly records
Experience Required for the Freelance Site Engineer:
  • Proven experience as a site engineer on construction projects
  • Strong setting out experience using modern surveying equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Experience working with subcontractors

Day rate flexible. Weekly pay on a Friday.
