Act as the main point of contact for pre‑construction teams, providing environmental support across all tenders. Work with pre‑construction teams to identify, assess, and manage environmental risks for prospective projects. Develop a clear environmental risk profile for each tender, ensuring early identification of key constraints and requirements. Identify required environmental surveys, permits, licences, and monitoring, and clearly communicate these requirements to project teams.
Support bid delivery by liaising with external consultants and ensuring all necessary environmental information and documentation is obtained. Collaborate with commercial teams to ensure environmental requirements are appropriately costed, and with planners to ensure environmental risks are accurately programmed and addressed.
Provide clear guidance on how the business operates in accordance with the Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring its principles and requirements are embedded during pre‑construction. Support the environmental team during project set‑up and handover by sourcing and providing relevant tender‑stage information, including noise, air quality, vibration, ecology, archaeology, waste, watercourse, and pollution compliance data.
Provide practical guidance, resources, and solutions to help the business improve environmental performance and reduce risk. Present environmental risk management strategies to client teams to support work‑winning and demonstrate strong environmental governance and compliance. Provide input into pre‑qualification questionnaires (PQQs) and tender questions relating to environmental matters.
