Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of roadworks, street furniture, signage, and utilities.
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment, including diggers, machinery, and hand tools, to carry out tasks safely and efficiently.
- Follow traffic management plans to ensure safety for both the public and the workforce.
- Work alongside other team members to complete projects within deadlines and according to specifications.
- Monitor work areas to ensure cleanliness and safety, and adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Liaise with other departments and contractors to coordinate and carry out streetworks effectively.
- Record work completed and report any issues or delays to supervisors.
- Maintain awareness of local traffic laws, road closures, and diversions, ensuring compliance at all times.
- Assist with emergency roadworks, such as repairs or incidents that require immediate attention.

- Streetworks EUSR Cat 1 & 2
- First Aid
- Fit to work Medical
- Previous experience in streetworks or a similar field is preferred.
- Knowledge of roadwork procedures, health and safety regulations, and traffic management.
- Ability to operate streetworks machinery and tools safely.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts, as required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Capability to perform manual labor and operate machinery.
