A leading main contractor is currently looking to hire an experienced Site Manager - Internals to join a major residential development in Dunstable. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with a strong background in new-build residential internals, taking responsibility for a defined section of approximately 30-40 apartments through to completion.
You will be responsible for managing the internal construction process, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.
The Role
- Manage the internal fit-out of approximately 30-35 residential units
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors across all internal packages
- Drive programme and ensure works are delivered to agreed dates
- Monitor workmanship, quality and finishing standards
- Coordinate drylining, partitions, ceilings, MEP interfaces and associated internal trades
- Carry out regular inspections and ensure defects are identified and closed out
- Maintain accurate site records and communicate progress to the wider project team
- Liaise closely with commercial, design and construction teams
- Ensure all works are undertaken in accordance with health & safety requirements
- Manage the handover and completion of apartments to the required standard
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential or apartment developments
- Strong knowledge of internal fit-out and finishing
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple internal trades
- A strong understanding of construction sequencing and programme management
- Good eye for detail and a commitment to quality
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Relevant construction qualifications, ideally including SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid
- Experience delivering new-build apartments would be highly advantageous
