Our client, a well-established UK housebuilder, is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a timber frame development in Cheltenham.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of work and an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality homes.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a large-scale timber frame housing development, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering circa 100 units per annum, while maintaining exceptional build quality, controlling costs, and driving site performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all on-site construction activities from groundwork through to handover.
  • Lead, motivate and manage site teams and subcontractors to achieve programme milestones.
  • Ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
  • Maintain outstanding quality standards and minimise defects throughout the build process.
  • Monitor budgets, control costs and reduce waste across the development.
  • Work closely with Commercial, Technical and Customer Care teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits and progress meetings.
  • Ensure NHBC standards and company procedures are consistently met.

About You

We\'re looking for an experienced Site Manager who can demonstrate

  • Proven experience managing high volume timber frame developments.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing costs and site budgets.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to drive programmes while maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.
  • Experience managing multiple subcontract trades on fast-paced residential developments.
