Fawkes & Reece are currently working with a leading Tier 1 contractor who is seeking an experienced Temporary Construction Site Manager to join their team on a fixed-term contract for approximately 20 weeks in Cardiff.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and highly organised Site Manager with a strong background in both high‑rise residential developments and building refurbishment projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with programme requirements.
- Enforce health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Liaise effectively with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Manage quality control and ensure works meet specification requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on high‑rise apartment/residential developments.
- Strong background in building refurbishment projects.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme deadlines.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
- Relevant Site Management qualifications and certifications SMSTS, or SSSTS, CSCS, First Aid, required.
- Temporary Works qualification preferred, but not essential.
