An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established, reputable Social Housing Contractor as a Buyer, with future opportunity to develop into a Procurement Manager position as the business continues to grow. The company specialises in the delivery of retrofit and decarbonisation projects and has a strong client base consisting of Housing Providers and Local Authorities, as well as working on a number of framework schemes. Due to continued growth of the business, they are now looking to recruit a Buyer to join them on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing procurement of materials and sub‑contractors for social housing refurbishment projects
  • Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to achieve best value
  • Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
  • Ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines
  • Monitoring costs and supporting budget control
  • Working closely with project teams to understand procurement needs
  • Maintaining accurate purchasing records and documentation

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Buyer or procurement role within construction
