A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Site Engineer to join one of Fawkes & Reece’s clients, a leading housebuilding construction company, on a long-term residential project near Bridgwater. This Site Engineer role offers a strong day rate, weekly pay, and the chance to work on a large-scale new housing development.
About the role of Site Engineer
As a Site Engineer, you will be supporting the delivery of groundworks on a new housing project, taking responsibility for setting out, quality assurance, and coordination of subcontractors on site. This is a long-term temporary role, expected to run for approximately 12–18 months, with an immediate start available.
Responsibilities for Site Engineer:
- Carrying out accurate setting out using GPS, Total Station, and levelling equipment
- Supervising subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered to programme
- Interpreting and working from technical drawings and specifications
- Maintaining quality control and keeping accurate site records
Requirements for Site Engineer:
- 3+ years’ experience working as a Site Engineer on groundworks or residential projects
- Strong setting out experience with relevant surveying equipment
- CSCS card and relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
- Good understanding of health & safety and site procedures
