My Client is a 4* Hotel in Bristol City Centre looking for an enthusiastic Reservations Agent to join their Team. This is a 100+ bedroom property with 6 meeting rooms and a hotel restaurant.

The Reservation Agent is responsible for handling hotel room reservations, providing accurate information to guests, and delivering excellent customer service to maximize occupancy and revenue. This role serves as a key point of contact for guests before their arrival and plays an important role in creating a positive first impression of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle incoming reservation requests via phone, email, website, and third-party booking platforms
  • Accurately enter, modify, and cancel reservations in the property management system (PMS)
  • Provide guests with detailed information about room types, rates, packages, promotions, and hotel amenities
  • Upsell rooms, packages, and additional services when appropriate
  • Confirm reservations and follow up on special guest requests
  • Coordinate with front desk, housekeeping, and sales teams to ensure accurate room availability
  • Process payments, deposits, and billing information according to hotel policies
  • Maintain guest profiles and ensure data accuracy
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or issues professionally and promptly
  • Adhere to hotel policies, procedures, and service standards
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality-related education preferred)
  • Previous experience in hotel reservations, front desk, or customer service is an advantage
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with hotel reservation systems and basic computer skills
  • Strong sales and customer service orientation
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Competencies
  • Knowledge of PMS systems (Opera, Cloudbeds, or similar)
