Fawkes & Reece are seeking an experienced Finishing /Snagging Site Manager with a strong track record of delivering large-scale projects for Tier 1 contractors, with particular expertise in fit-out works. This is a high-profile £40m plus construction project currently entering its final stages, with completion scheduled for up to 5 months work with expected completion due August 2026. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the project through to handover.
We are looking for a hands-on Site Manager who can confidently manage finishing trades, coordinate subcontractors, uphold quality and safety standards, and lead the project through snagging, commissioning, and final sign-off.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site operations during the final construction and fit-out phases
- Coordinate subcontractors to ensure efficient sequencing and timely completion of works
- Monitor quality standards, ensuring all works meet specification and compliance requirements
- Manage snagging, de-snagging, and close-out activities
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and ensure full site compliance
- Review and update short-term programmes, reporting progress to the Project Manager
- Identify and resolve site issues promptly to avoid delays to practical completion
- Manage inspections, approvals, and handover documentation
- Liaise with client representatives and project consultants as required
- Coordinate logistics for finishing trades, deliveries, and site housekeeping
- Maintain accurate site records, permits, and daily reports
- Support commissioning, testing, and final certification processes
- Work effectively to tight deadlines in the lead-up to project completion
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience managing fit-out phases on large-scale projects
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
- The ability to maintain momentum and quality standards through project completion
This role will be paid as a day rate as PAYE Umbrella due to being inside IR35.
Benefits
