ABOUT FAVELA CERVEJA

Favela is more than a beer brand; we're a movement bringing the vibrancy and rhythm of Brazil to the UK and Europe. Born from a love of street culture and electric energy, we're shaking up the beer category. We're looking for a content creator and social media wizz to help build our online community, and create engaging, eye catching content.

THE ROLE

This is a hands-on, creative role. You'll own our digital presence, working closely with and reporting to the Head of Brand & Design to drive tangible growth through high-energy content and social strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategy & planning: Build and implement a comprehensive social strategy, and execute a 'pulse' social calendar.
  • Content & Community: Capture, edit, and post high-energy Reels/TikToks. This may be daily videos, or out at events, venues, and partnerships.
  • Copy & Voice: Write sharp, engaging copy for social, ads, and web that reflects our bold brand tone.
  • Influencer/UGC: Manage micro-influencer outreach to generate authentic community content.
  • Reporting: Track monthly engagement and ROI to show us what's working. Monitor analytics and adjust content accordingly.
  • Confident in front of the camera. You may need to host on-street interviews and deliver engaging, direct-to-camera content.
  • International Mobility: As a global brand stocked across the UK, Europe and recently launched in the US and Dubai, this role requires a candidate who is willing to travel across the country, and possibly internationally, to support and document our network of clients.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience: 2–5 years in social media management and content creation (ideally in a scale-up/startup).
  • Strong content creation skills: across photography, video, multimedia tools; as well as a sharp eye for aesthetics and the ability to shoot/edit on the fly.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills: these are essential for this role, as is the ability to work independently and manage multiple campaigns at the same time.
  • Cultural Fit: A genuine love for beer, hospitality, music, and lifestyle brands.

NICE TO HAVE (NOT ESSENTIAL):

  • Experience working with a food & drink brand.
  • A degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Digital Media Production; an equivalent portfolio demonstrating 2+ years of professional experience in digital storytelling and platform strategy.
  • Email marketing campaign development and execution.
  • Access to camera equipment would be a plus (a monthly allowance for use of personal equipment will be provided).
  • Knowledge/experience running Meta Ads and diving into data/SEO.

WHAT THIS ROLE IS (AND ISN'T)

IT IS: Hands-on, creative, fast-paced, and highly visible.

IT ISN'T: A corporate "Head of" role or a "strategy-only" desk job. You'll be in the trade, at events, and making things happen. It's also not necessarily a 9-5.30. Standard working hours are 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. However, occasional evening and weekend work will be required. (Any additional hours worked will be compensated via a Time Off In Lieu [TOIL] policy)

THE PACKAGE

  • Salary from £28,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.
  • Pension contribution.
  • Your birthday off every year.
  • One 'Sunshine Day' per year - a day off to be spent doing something that makes you feel good - maybe a hobby or seeing family.
  • One 'Donated Day' per year - a day off to be spent volunteering with a cause that's close to your heart. Charity is at the heart of what we do, donating a % of profits to our partner charity The Favela Foundation in Rio de Janeiro.
  • Laptop, Phone and other basic equipment provided.
