Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional with an excellent track record in leading teams to develop their project design and MEL approaches, ensuring they deliver impact that aligns with Fauna & Flora’s strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams to develop their project design and MEL approaches, ensuring they deliver impact that aligns with Fauna & Flora’s strategy.
  • Work closely with Africa team colleagues and the central Conservation Design & Impact team, and with other cross-cutting teams based both in the UK and in region. The role will be key to facilitating progress across multiple projects at the same time and ensuring that project level strategies transform into donor funded proposals.
  • Develop expertise in local teams in design and MEL related skillsets, experience in managing and mentoring individuals and in developing and delivering training.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in inclusively facilitating diverse groups to develop and agree on project design and MEL approaches, with an evidenced trajectory from design to impact.
  • Maintain a good technical background and understanding of a range of conservation issues, and confirmed experience working within a donor funded setting.
  • With fluency in English, maintain excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a diverse group of individuals.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in leading teams and inclusively facilitating diverse groups to develop and agree on project design and MEL approaches.
  • Strong technical background and understanding of conservation issues.
  • Experience working within a donor funded setting.
  • Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.

Contract and Application Details

  • Salary: £39,640 per annum
  • Contract period: Permanent
  • Start date: As soon as possible
  • Closing date for applications: Wednesday, 17 September 2025. Interviews are likely to take place during the week commencing 6 October 2025.
  • This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
