Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and treatments.
- Safely restrain and handle dogs and cats during procedures.
- Obtain and document patient histories and vital signs (TPR, weight, etc.).
- Prepare patients for surgery and assist in anesthesia monitoring and recovery.
- Perform blood draws and support laboratory diagnostics.
- Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and a clean clinical environment.
- Educate clients on medications, post‑care, and preventive services.
- Support inventory, pharmacy, and general hospital functions.
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience required.
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred.
- Strong animal handling and restraint skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced veterinary clinic setting.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
