As a senior leader within the organisation, you will play an important role in supporting the continued growth, maturity and operational effectiveness of the business. You will work closely with the leadership team to help shape company direction, improve internal ways of working, support customer delivery, and ensure the organisation is well positioned to scale sustainably.
This role will suit someone who is comfortable operating across a broad range of business areas, including operational management, commercial support, delivery oversight, customer engagement, governance, people leadership, and strategic planning. You will be expected to take ownership of key organisational priorities, bring structure to complex challenges, and support the delivery of high quality outcomes for both customers and colleagues.
You will need to understand the environment in which we operate, including the needs of secure and sensitive customer domains, the delivery challenges associated with complex technical programmes, and the importance of maintaining trusted relationships with stakeholders. An understanding of cloud technologies, software delivery, AWS, and modern engineering practices would be highly beneficial.
This is a full-time role, and in most cases you will work hybrid between home and office.
Responsibilities
- Support the leadership team in shaping organisational strategy, business planning and operational priorities
- Help lead the continued development of business operations, internal processes and governance
- Support customer engagement, stakeholder management and commercial relationships
- Provide oversight and direction across key delivery activities, ensuring priorities are understood and progressed effectively
- Work with technical and delivery teams to understand challenges, unblock issues and support successful outcomes
- Contribute to the development of scalable ways of working as the organisation grows
- Support recruitment, onboarding, people development and team effectiveness
- Help maintain a strong culture of trust, collaboration, ownership and accountability
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, delivery performance and organisational maturity
- Represent the business professionally with customers, partners and internal stakeholders

Must-haves
- Ability to hold and maintain DV clearance
- Experience in a senior leadership, operational, delivery, commercial, programme or business management role
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience taking ownership of business, operational or delivery priorities
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams and customer stakeholders
- Understanding of secure delivery environments and the expectations of working with sensitive customer domains
- Ability to work at least part-time in a Cheltenham office
Strongly preferred
- Understanding of the NS domain or similar secure government/customer environments
- Awareness of software engineering, delivery lifecycle and technical delivery challenges
- AWS experience, particularly AWS Certifications at Associate level or above
- Understanding of cloud platforms, modern infrastructure and digital delivery approaches
- Experience supporting organisational growth, operational improvement or business scaling
- Experience with Agile methodologies and delivery governance
- Understanding of commercial operations, supplier/customer relationships and business performance management
