Overview
In this role you will translate customer needs into technically viable solutions for marine systems. You will work with engineering, sales and project teams to shape proposals for international customers. You will review specifications, perform sizing and system design, and prepare technical documentation and costings. The position offers exposure to complex ship projects, including newbuilds and retrofits, within a globally active marine business. This is a hands-on, technically focused commercial role that combines engineering know‑how with client-facing responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Review customer specifications, RFQs and technical documentation
- Develop technical solutions and select suitable equipment
- Carry out calculations, equipment sizing and system design
- Produce technical documentation, specifications and P&IDs
- Prepare costings and commercial proposal information
- Use CAD to develop equipment and system layouts
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams through the proposal process
- Support newbuild and retrofit projects
Key requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of marine equipment and ship systems
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and develop practical engineering solutions
- Experience or background in marine engineering, proposals, or project/design engineering
- Experience in cruise, shipbuilding or wider commercial shipping is beneficial
