b Overview /b p In this shore-based Technical Manager role, you will oversee the technical management of a yacht fleet from Southampton, partnering with captains, engineers, crew and Yacht Managers to ensure vessels operate to high standards. You’ll lead maintenance, regulatory compliance, and technical projects while supporting on-call technical responses. The position sits at the heart of a global yacht management operation, enabling reliable performance and safer operations. You will shape technical service delivery and contribute to continuous improvement across the fleet. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li hybrid working /li li generous salary based on experience /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Ensure yachts comply with Class, Flag State, regulatory and company requirements /li li Maintain strong relationships with Captains, Chief Engineers, crew, Yacht Managers and DPA /li li Oversee maintenance across mechanical, electrical, safety, environmental, LSA and navigational systems /li li Manage Planned Maintenance Systems, inspections, audits and yacht visits; resolve deficiencies /li li Provide technical advice and remote support; coordinate with contractors and service providers /li li Support purchasing, supplier management, invoicing review, budgeting and monitoring of technical expenditure /li li Assist with refit, drydock, and technical upgrade projects from specification to completion /li li Support emergency preparedness and 24/7 technical response; mitigate risks /li li Contribute to continuous improvement of yacht management technical services /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Shore-based experience as Technical Manager/Superintendent or similar /li li Senior onboard engineering experience /li li Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical vessel systems /li li Experience with planned maintenance, inspections, audits and regulatory compliance /li li Experience with shipyard refits, drydocking or technical projects /li li Experience managing contractors, suppliers, purchasing and budgets /li li Solid understanding of Class, Flag State and regulatory requirements /li li Right to work in the UK; willingness to travel to visit the fleet /li li Ability to work collaboratively with onboard and shore-based teams /li /ul ul li dynamic /li li approachable /li li flexible /li li mechanical and electrical vessel systems /li li planned maintenance systems /li li regulatory compliance /li /ul
