Due to company expansion, I am currently working with an established Yacht Management Company in the UK that is seeking a Senior Yacht Manager to join their team in their South Coast office. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Yacht Manager or shore-based maritime professional looking to take the next step in their career with a leading yacht management company. The main objective of the role is to provide proactive, efficient management support to Owners, Owners’ Representatives, and Captains across an assigned fleet of vessels.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation and management of annual budgets
- Coordination with Captains and Engineers on maintenance and operations
- Oversight of dry dockings and vessel certification
- Ensuring compliance with class and flag requirements
- Delivery of work on time, within budget, and to company standards
- Conducting vessel inspections and visits
The ideal candidate:
- Maritime background with shore-based yacht or vessel management experience
- Previous onboard experience at Officer or Captain level
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Commercial awareness with sound decision-making ability
- Confident leading and supporting small teams
- Knowledge of class, flag, and ISM/ISPS requirements
- Strong organisational and reporting skills
- Proficient in English and IT systems
- Flexible and willing to travel
- Experience in the superyacht sector
- Project management, or marine compliance would be advantageous
