An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of Europe's leading ferry operators, as a Commercial Manager supporting significant port development and infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland. This is far more than a traditional commercial position. You'll be at the heart of a diverse portfolio of capital projects, providing commercial leadership, cost control, contract management and strategic guidance to ensure investments are delivered successfully and provide long-term business value.The Role As Commercial Manager, you will act as the commercial lead across multiple infrastructure and port development projects, working closely with project managers, contractors, consultants and senior stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:Managing commercial aspects of major capital projectsDriving capital planning, budgeting and investment approval processesMonitoring expenditure against approved budgetsIdentifying commercial risks, opportunities and cost variancesManaging contracts, change control, claims and final accountsSupporting procurement activities, tender evaluations and contractor selectionPreparing commercial reports and updates for senior leadership teamsProviding commercial insight to support strategic investment decisionsWhat We're Looking For We're keen to speak with commercially focused professionals who can combine strong financial awareness with excellent stakeholder engagement skills. You will ideally have:Degree qualification or equivalent in a relevant disciplineExperience in Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying or Contract AdministrationStrong understanding of cost control, budget management and financial reporting within capital project environmentsKnowledge of procurement and contract management principlesExperience working with NEC contracts, ideally NEC ECCStrong commercial and analytical skillsAbility to influence and build relationships across a wide range of stakeholdersFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland as requiredWhy Join?
