Faststream is recruiting for a Fleet Electrical Superintendent to join an established maritime operator based in the East Yorkshire / Hull area. This is a shore-based position supporting the safe, reliable and efficient electrical operation of a busy vessel fleet. You will provide technical support across planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, surveys and drydockings, while working closely with vessel crews, contractors and the wider technical team. The role would suit an experienced ETO, Electrical Officer, Ship's Electrician or Marine Electrician looking to move into, or continue within, a fleet-based superintendent position. ResponsibilitiesProvide electrical technical support across the vessel fleetSupport fault-finding, defect resolution and reactive maintenanceCoordinate planned electrical maintenance and repairsAssist with vessel surveys, drydockings and major repair periodsLiaise with contractors, service engineers, OEMs and suppliersMonitor electrical systems including power generation, distribution, controls and alarmsSupport maintenance of vessel control and monitoring systemsEnsure planned maintenance records and technical documentation remain accurate and up to dateSupport inspections, testing and compliance activitiesAssist with technical investigations and root cause analysisProvide guidance to vessel crews on electrical defects and maintenance requirementsSupport the management and development of electrical personnel across the fleetParticipate in out-of-hours technical support when requiredRequirementsPrevious experience as an ETO, Electrical Officer, Ship's Electrician, Marine Electrician or similarStrong marine electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting experienceGood knowledge of LV/HV systems, generators, switchboards, control systems and vessel monitoring systemsExperience working with diesel propulsion and associated electrical systemsPrevious exposure to workboats, tugs, offshore vessels or similar marine assets is highly desirableExperience of ship repair, refit, drydock or vessel construction projectsUnderstanding of risk assessment, Permit to Work and LOTO proceduresGood knowledge of planned maintenance systemsStrong organisational, communication and problem-solving skillsComfortable working with Microsoft Office and technical reporting systemsFlexible approach to supporting vessel operations outside normal working hours when requiredUK Right to Work requiredThe BusinessOur client is a well-established maritime operator with a strong presence across the UK and wider international markets.
