Location: Glasgow, ClydebankReporting to: Recruitment & Development ManagerOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Recruitment Officer to join the NMMS Recruitment team, supporting the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused recruitment across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a recruitment professional with experience in a commercial environment, who can manage multiple stakeholders, identify and engage talent, and develop effective sourcing strategies. The role will have a particular focus on expanding the talent pool within the tanker sector and supporting the wider crewing function. You will work closely with the Recruitment & Development Manager, Manning and Recruitment Managers, and wider business to ensure recruitment requirements are effectively managed and delivered.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.Manage and oversee the effective administration of the recruitment process.Undertake candidate sourcing, shortlisting, interviewing and selection.Provide appropriate, constructive and developmental feedback to candidates.Identify and utilise effective recruitment channels whilst minimising recruitment costs.Develop creative sourcing techniques to expand the talent pool within the tanker sector.Manage recruitment advertisements across appropriate channels.Work closely with Manning and Recruitment Managers to identify recruitment requirements across the fleet.Ensure recruitment activity operates within the agreed recruitment budget.Support the effective implementation of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion principles throughout the recruitment process.Contribute innovative ideas to improve recruitment processes and support the wider recruitment and crewing teams.Requirements & Experience: Experience working with candidate databases and online recruitment platforms, including LinkedIn.Experience writing and updating job descriptions and creating engaging recruitment advertisements.Experience managing multiple candidates throughout the recruitment process.Strong communication and organisational skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.Excellent time management and the ability to work independently and to deadlines.Strong Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to present analytics, PowerPoint presentations and other information to stakeholders.Experience within marine recruitment, particularly recruitment relating to the tanker sector, would be advantageous.
