We are partnering with a rapidly growing port agency/services provider that is expanding its commercial presence across Europe. This is a BD Manager role with a plan for you to grow alongside the business, aiming to find someone who can become a Partner within the business.
With established operational teams across the globe and a workforce of over 60 shipping professionals, the business supports vessel owners, operators, charterers, and managers with a comprehensive range of ship agency and logistics solutions. Following significant growth in recent years, the company is investing heavily in international expansion and is looking to appoint its first UK-based Business Development Manager. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious commercial professional who wants to help build a regional presence from the ground up while working directly with senior leadership. This is an exciting role for relationship building, industry networking, and generating new business opportunities. You'll become the local commercial representative for a growing international organisation and play a key role in shaping its European growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the maritime sector. Remote role but regular travel throughout the UK and Europe will be required.
- Build relationships with ship owners, operators, managers, and chartering organisations.
- Promote the company's ship agency, port services, and logistics capabilities.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
- Generate and manage a pipeline of new opportunities.
- Maintain regular customer engagement through visits, calls, and networking activity.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Manage and grow your own customer portfolio.
- Contribute to the long-term commercial growth of the European business.
