Faststream has partnered with a growing marine consultancy that is actively seeking a Master Mariner with Bulk Experience to join its experienced and friendly team. In this position, you will deliver expert options to clients worldwide, including P&I and H&M insurers, brokers, lawyers, shipowners, and other clients as directed. You will be required to attend salvage and wreck operations. This role is primarily based in London, and you will report to the regional General Manager.

The role is wide-ranging and leans on your expertise and experience as a master mariner, including:

  • Preparing expert reports for arbitration and court proceedings in the English language to high standards of technical competence
  • Performing vessel/cargo surveys
  • Attending salvage and wreck removal operations

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold a STCW Master Mariner Certificate of Competency
  • Sailed on bulk and/or break bulk vessels
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the various standards and best practices for the carriage of bulk products
  • You must have the enduring right to live and work in the UK
