As a Lead Installer, you’ll play an important role in getting the finished sign or graphic in place so everyone can see it – in the ground, on a wall, on a vehicle or hanging from a ceiling. You’ll use a variety of tools to assemble, erect and hang items, both inside and out. Fear of heights is not in your vocabulary. In fact, most of your days will be spent moving, lifting and building for a wide variety of sign installations.

When you work at an independently owned and operated FASTSIGNS location, you are working for a local business, typically with Monday through Friday business hours.

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Install various types of signage including vinyl, metal, LED, illuminated signs, and large-format billboards.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical diagrams to ensure precise sign placement and installation.
3. Safely operate equipment such as lifts and scaffolding to install signs at elevated heights.
4. Secure signs to structures such as poles, walls, and frameworks using appropriate fasteners and techniques.
5. Conduct site assessments to determine the best methods for installation, ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
6. Assist in erecting and maintaining billboard structures, including wood framework, platforms, and support beams.
7. Prepare foundations for sign structures by digging, pouring concrete, and installing support anchors.
8. Build and install structural supports for signs, including steel, aluminum, and wooden frames.

Work with different internal departments such as sales, design and production to ensure installation is to the highest standard possible.

Requirements

1. Minimum of 3 years experience with signage installation in Canada.
2. Experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of signage including exterior and interior illuminated signs and banners.
3. Proficiency with tools and equipment specific to sign installation, such as lifts, scaffolding, and power tools.
4. Familiarity with reading blueprints, site plans, and technical diagrams.
5. Physical ability to perform tasks such as climbing, lifting heavy materials, and working at heights.
6. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
7. Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols.
8. Computer and software literacy skills.
9. Problem-solving and analytical skills.
10. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.

Compensation:
Base Salary: $26 to $32 per hour based on experience.
Bonus Program (up to 15% of yearly salary).
Extended Health and Dental Benefits.

Regular hours for this position are Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:00 pm. Evening and weekend work may be required based on project needs.
