Fastmarkets' data is critical for customers seeking to understand and predict dynamic, sometimes opaque markets, enabling trading and risk management.

Fastmarkets is looking for a Pricing Lead Analyst (FTC) for an initial period of six months. In this pivotal role, you will refresh our commercial pricing approach and develop a fit for purpose pricing capability that drives our commercial discussions with our customers. Our commodity intelligence is crucial to creating value for our customers and our pricing is reflective of the value we deliver for them.

Your goal: To ensure our value-based pricing reflects the mission-critical nature of our market intelligence for our customers while driving sustainable ARR growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyses & Evidence based approach: Analyse a wide variety of historical data on our customers to form clear evidence-based assumptions that inform the pricing approach.
  • Price Discovery & Analysis: Lead quantitative research on 'Willingness to Pay' (WTP) and churn elasticity for each key customer segment.
  • Define To-Be State: Understand and learn from our current pricing models and product architecture to define a fit for purpose state for all tiers of customers.
  • Pricing Best Practices: Establish 'floor', 'target' and 'discounting' pricing guardrails for the sales team to reduce unnecessary discounting and improve deal velocity.
  • Adapt pricing for enterprise customers: Develop pricing capability that takes into account complexities involved with our largest customers (enterprise customers).
  • Set up the highly critical 'Pricing Desk' that takes a central role on our commercial pricing for high value customers (enterprise and global customers).
  • Adapt pricing for SME and New Business: Develop a targeted pricing capability for our smaller (SME) customers and new business leads to maximize value (optimising enrichment and churn).
