The Commercial Growth Analyst will support the development and execution of Fastmarkets’ global commercial strategy by providing data-driven insights, reporting, and analysis. This role will contribute to short and long-term planning, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and customer needs. The position is critical in delivering accurate performance metrics and actionable recommendations to inform strategic decisions.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Strategy Support
    • Assist in translating corporate objectives into actionable commercial plans.
    • Provide analytical input to regional and product-level strategies.
  • Revenue Growth & Market Analysis
    • Analyse market trends and customer data to identify growth opportunities.
    • Support pricing analysis for enterprise licensing models and commercial terms.
    • Contribute to customer segmentation and account hierarchy optimisation.
  • Partnerships & Alliances
    • Conduct research on potential partners and assess performance metrics.
    • Provide data support for joint go-to-market initiatives and partnership KPIs.
  • Reporting & Insights
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly commercial performance reports and dashboards.
    • Deliver insights on revenue trends, market penetration, and strategic initiatives using data visualisation tools.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and alignment of priorities.
    • Support operational improvements through data-driven recommendations.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and has a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.

Essential:

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (advanced modelling, pivot tables, macros).
  • Experience with financial modelling and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Ability to interpret data and present actionable insights.
  • Understanding of pricing models and revenue optimisation principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of commodity markets and subscription-based business models.
  • Familiarity with SQL or other data query languages.
  • Exposure to Private Equity-backed environments is a plus.
