Role Purpose

To deliver high-quality one-to-one tutoring for post-16 learners with visual impairment, including learners who may have additional needs (SEND). The tutor will enable learners to access education through adapted teaching strategies, accessible materials, and assistive technology, supporting progress towards EHCP outcomes and Preparing for Adulthood priorities (independence, employability, community inclusion, and health). This role requires a skilled, reflective practitioner who understands vision loss, fatigue, orientation and mobility considerations, and the importance of inclusive, dignity-first support.
