We are seeking an SEN Trained Teacher to support students with special educational needs. The role involves delivering tailored learning, implementing support strategies, and ensuring students can access education effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for students with SEN
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
  • Develop and implement individual learning or support plans
  • Support students with communication, behaviour, and engagement
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and pastoral staff
  • Monitor progress and adjust support strategies accordingly
  • Liaise with parents/carers regarding student development
  • Support inclusive classroom practices
  • Maintain accurate records of interventions and progress
  • Work with safeguarding and wellbeing staff to support vulnerable students

Essential Criteria

  • Experience teaching students with special educational needs
  • Understanding of differentiated teaching approaches
  • Ability to adapt learning for varying abilities
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to track and monitor student progress
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Desirable Criteria

  • SEN qualification or relevant training
  • Experience supporting SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or learning difficulties
  • Experience working with small group or 1:1 interventions
  • Knowledge of SEND support strategies and inclusive practice
