We are seeking a Maths Teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive mathematics lessons that support students of varying abilities, including those with additional needs. The successful candidate will promote confidence in numeracy and support students to achieve their learning goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver structured maths lessons to individuals and small groups
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet different learning needs and abilities
  • Support students with numeracy, problem solving, and functional maths skills
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to students and staff
  • Differentiate learning for students with SEN or additional support needs
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement
  • Work with pastoral and safeguarding staff to support student development
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and learning resources

Essential Criteria

  • Experience teaching maths to children or young people
  • Strong numeracy and subject knowledge
  • Ability to adapt teaching for different learning needs
  • Good communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to monitor and record student progress
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Desirable Criteria

  • Teaching qualification or relevant subject qualification
  • Experience teaching students with SEN
  • Experience delivering functional skills or entry-level maths
  • Knowledge of differentiated teaching strategies
