The Role (Flexible – shaped around your strengths) We are recruiting two Educational Support Workers to join BCI\’s Remote Learning & Engagement Team. Your core purpose is to re-engage learners who are not attending, deliver structured learning sessions at home, and support families to sustain participation in education.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in outreach, youth work, SEND support, attendance/engagement, or alternative provision.

Delivery options (any/all can be part of the role) Home-based learning support (1:1) following BCI plans/resources
Attendance and engagement chasing (calls, texts, visits, agreed check-ins)
Parent/carer encouragement and coaching to support routines and learning
Flexible learning models: remote learning set-up, supported online sessions, blended timetables

Key Responsibilities (tailored to your remit) Visit learners at home (planned and risk-assessed) to deliver education support sessions and promote engagement.

Track contact, sessions delivered, progress notes, and barriers to learning; feedback to the Remote Learning Lead/SENCo.
Liaise with tutors and pastoral staff so home learning aligns with EHCP outcomes and agreed targets.
Support safe reintegration: accompanying learners to college where appropriate, helping them settle, and reducing anxiety.

Follow lone working and home-visit safety processes (risk assessment, check-in/out, professional conduct, confidentiality).
