Fasthosts is looking for a sharp, commercially minded Legal Counsel who thrives at the intersection of law, technology and business strategy. At Fasthosts and the wider IONOS Group, you’ll be the go‑to partner helping teams launch products, close deals and navigate the fast‑moving world of cloud, hosting and digital services — all while keeping us compliant and ahead of the curve. If you enjoy solving complex problems, influencing decision‑making and working in a fast‑moving digital environment, this is a role where you can make a real impact. This is a part time role, 3 days a week based from our Gloucester City Centre office (Hybrid working).
What will you be doing? This is a varied role and responsibilities include:
- Drive commercial success by drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts.
- Guide product and marketing teams with clear, practical advice on launches, marketing, advertising, consumer law, IP, competition and information security.
- Support disputes including customer issues, IP/takedown requests, defamation/abuse and domain matters (UDRP/DRS).
- Champion data protection with hands‑on GDPR/UK DPA support.
- Strengthen compliance culture through training, risk assessments and guidance.
- Engage with regulators (ICO, ASA) and help shape our responses.
- Support governance across intercompany agreements and corporate housekeeping.
- Influence strategic initiatives like AI governance, NIS2 readiness and security certifications.
