Contracted Hours: Permanent, 40 Hours Per Week (Monday to Friday – Flexible Working Hours)

Remit: Fast Pace Recruitment Services are working with a valued client who are currently looking to recruit a Deputy Home Manager. We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Deputy Home Manager to join a forward-thinking and innovative care home operator. You will support elderly residents with their medical, emotional & social needs and play a key role with the ongoing development of the care home and quality of care provided.

The Role: You will undertake a range of services which include the following:

  • Lead and support a team of Unit Nurse Managers, Nurses, Carers and Administration staff, bringing out the best in your colleagues.
  • Train, support and develop a team of staff, helping them develop and thrive in their roles.
  • Provide support to the Care Home Manager when needed, ensuring quality standards and operations remain consistent.
  • Collaborate closely with residents, their families and healthcare professionals to create and implement care plans that are unique to each resident.
  • Observe daily interactions and conditions, ensuring all care documentation is precise, legal, and easily understood by the team.
  • Start each shift by organizing and guiding your team, ensuring everyone knows their role in delivering top-notch care.
  • Oversee shift handovers, ensuring clear communication and continuity of care.
  • Perform routine observations and manage specific health needs, always with an eye on detail and safety.
  • Foster strong, trusting relationships with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals, addressing concerns with empathy and urgency.
  • Support residents in daily activities, encouraging autonomy while providing hands-on assistance as needed.
  • Be responsive to team input, ensuring resident health and well-being are always prioritised.
  • Uphold the dignity and individuality of every resident, advocating for their needs and preferences.
  • Facilitate social interactions and activities, enriching the lives of residents and creating a vibrant community.
  • Maintain a vigilant eye on health and safety, ensuring a secure environment for all.
  • Be prepared to act swiftly in emergencies, utilising the on-call system and reflective practices to continually improve our care.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse qualification. (Must have valid NMC pin with no restrictions or conditions)
  • Able to work as an independent & autonomous Deputy Home Manager.
  • A good team player who possesses effective communication & relationship building skills.
  • A pro-active & motivated person who endeavours all types of challenges.
  • A valid Full UK driving licence. (Desired but not essential)
