This is a technically credible sales role, requiring confidence in both commercial discussions and practical qPCR demonstrations. As the NGX 124 is an open platform, the role will also involve working in parallel with small and medium-sized independent CE-IVD qPCR assay manufacturers, to explore how their assays can be run and sold for use on the NGX 124. Additionally, the associate will also support laboratories to implement their own Laboratory Developed Tests onto the NGX 124 platform.

Qualifications:

  • Sales skills: Proven ability in sales, lead generation, and customer relationship management.
  • Industry knowledge: Familiarity with molecular diagnostics, laboratory equipment, ideally qPCR thermal cyclers and/or relevant healthcare technology is highly beneficial.
  • Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to present, negotiate, and build rapport with clients.
  • Technical aptitude: Capacity to understand and effectively convey the operational features and benefits of technical products like the NGX 124 platform.

Role Summary: We are seeking a commercially driven Commission Sales Associate to support the placement of the NGX 124 open automated qPCR platform into private pathology laboratories, NHS pathology laboratories and veterinary testing laboratories on a subscription-based commercial model. This is a hands-on commercial and technical role requiring both sales capability and qPCR credibility. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing laboratory opportunities, demonstrating the NGX 124 platform, and supporting customers through evaluation, adoption and subscription onboarding. As the NGX 124 is an open platform, the role will also involve working in parallel with small and medium-sized CE-IVD qPCR assay manufacturers, helping them explore how their assays can be run on the NGX 124. In addition, the candidate will support customer laboratories that wish to implement their own Laboratory Developed Tests (LDTs) onto the platform. The ideal candidate will have experience selling qPCR thermal cyclers and/or molecular diagnostics systems, pathology laboratory equipment, veterinary diagnostics products, assays or related life sciences products. They must also be confident demonstrating a qPCR workflow, including preparing assay chemistry, mixing samples and controls, setting up a run, and explaining the results clearly to laboratory, clinical and commercial stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assay Partnerships and Open Platform Adoption: Work with small and medium-sized CE-IVD qPCR assay manufacturers to explore opportunities for running their assays on the NGX 124 platform. Support commercial discussions with assay manufacturers around platform compatibility, customer access, workflow integration and market opportunities. Help laboratories understand how their existing or planned Laboratory Developed Tests could be implemented on the NGX 124. Liaise with internal technical and product teams to support assay onboarding, demonstration planning and customer feasibility discussions. Gather feedback from assay manufacturers and laboratories to inform commercial strategy, product positioning and future assay support. Help position the NGX 124 as an open, flexible automated qPCR platform for laboratories that want to run CE-IVD assays and their own LDTs.

Essential Experience: Understanding of qPCR thermal cyclers, assay compatibility, assay transfer or laboratory workflow implementation. Ability to engage with both end-user laboratories and qPCR assay manufacturers. Confidence discussing how CE-IVD qPCR assays and Laboratory Developed Tests may be implemented within a laboratory workflow.

Desirable Experience: Experience working with CE-IVD assay manufacturers, molecular diagnostics developers or laboratory-developed qPCR assays. Experience supporting assay transfer, assay validation, verification or implementation into diagnostic laboratory workflows. Knowledge of Laboratory Developed Tests, qPCR assay development, assay performance requirements or diagnostic validation principles.
