Surrounded by beautiful parkland and steeped in history, the castle hosts luxury weddings, corporate retreats, private celebrations and bespoke events throughout the year.
We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional hospitality and creating unforgettable experiences for every guest.
We're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and customer-focused Wedding & Events Coordinator to join our team.
About the Role
As an Wedding & Events Coordinator, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences across a diverse range of exclusive-use events.
Working closely with our Event Manager and wider operational team, you'll help coordinate the smooth delivery of weddings, corporate events, private celebrations and bespoke occasions from enquiry through to event delivery.
This is a varied, hands-on role that combines event coordination with operational leadership.
You'll support the planning and execution of events while deputising for the Event Manager when required and undertaking Duty Manager responsibilities to ensure events are delivered professionally and to the highest standards.

As our events predominantly take place during evenings and weekends, the successful candidate will be expected to work a regular pattern of evening, weekend and occasional bank holiday shifts.
On non-event days, working hours will typically be 9:00am to 5:00pm, providing dedicated time for event planning, administration and client liaison.
Flexibility is essential, as working hours will vary depending on the event calendar, although rotas are planned in advance wherever possible to support a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate weddings, corporate events, private celebrations and exclusive-use stays from planning through to delivery.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and suppliers before and during events.
- Support the Event Manager with planning, administration and operational delivery.
- Deputise for the Event Manager when required, taking responsibility for the smooth running of events.
- Undertake Duty Manager responsibilities, making operational decisions and supporting the wider team.
- Ensure the highest standards of guest service are maintained throughout every event.
- Coordinate event set-up and breakdown, ensuring presentation standards are consistently achieved.
- Liaise effectively with the kitchen, housekeeping, and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Monitor and manage Health & Safety and licensing regulations throughout events.
- Respond confidently and professionally to guest requests, complaints and operational issues.
- Support emergency procedures and act as the responsible Duty Manager during allocated shifts.
- Maintain accurate event records and assist with administrative tasks as required.
- Build positive relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues to deliver memorable guest experiences.
About You

- Has previous experience within hospitality, events or venue operations.
- Is confident coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Can lead a team and make decisions when acting as Duty Manager.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
- Demonstrates a strong awareness of Health & Safety and guest welfare.
- Is flexible and happy to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
- Holds a full UK driving licence (desirable due to our rural location).
