Dr. Martens is more than a brand - it’s a global icon with over 60 years of attitude, heritage, and cultural impact. We’re a thriving, values‑driven business powered by diverse thinkers, bold doers, and people who bring their whole selves to work. If you’re ready to make your mark, you’re in the right place.
At DM, our values guide everything we do: Be Yourself, Act Courageously, Show You Care. They’re not just words - they’re how we turn passion into progress.
WHERE YOU SIT
As our UX Designer, you’ll be part of the Digital team working closely with brilliant people across the business and reporting into Head of Experience Optimisation. You’ll be right at the heart of fast‑moving projects that shape how we show up for our consumers - today and tomorrow.
WHERE YOU CONTRIBUTE
As our UX Designer, you’ll join the Experience Optimisation team on a six-month fixed-term basis, providing additional design capacity across our conversion rate optimisation (CRO) and roadmap programmes.
You’ll play a hands‑on role in turning UX research and analysis into tested, shippable design solutions, supporting A/B testing and roadmap improvements. Working at pace, you’ll help maintain momentum across our optimisation pipeline while ensuring we deliver a consistently high‑quality premium brand experience.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Translating UX research and analysis into clear, testable wireframes, prototypes and production-ready designs.
- Designing and iterating A/B tests with EMEA and US testing teams, ensuring each variant supports a clear hypothesis and CRO objective.
- Delivering prioritised roadmap improvements and UX enhancements across the web experience, working closely with the CX/CRO Manager and Product Owners.
- Creating and collaborating on accessible, inclusive and premium digital experiences that maintain a consistent Dr. Martens brand across all markets, supporting development, QA and go-live.
- Maintaining clear design documentation and Figma files, while collaborating with the Senior UX Designer to manage priorities and ensure a smooth handover throughout the contract.
KEY SKILLS & CAPABILITIES
Put simply, the key things we’re looking for are:
- Proven experience as a mid-weight UX/Product Designer, ideally within e-commerce, consumer or retail environments.
- Strong experience designing and running A/B tests and CRO experiments, using research and data to inform design decisions.
- Advanced Figma skills, including prototyping and working within established design systems, with a strong understanding of responsive, mobile-first and accessible design.
- Confident collaborating with Product Owners and Developers in an agile environment, managing varied backlogs and delivering to deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with premium, global or multi-market brands is desirable, alongside familiarity with tools such as GA4, ContentSquare, Optimizely/VWO, Jira and UserTesting.
