We are looking for a creative and motivated Junior Designer Intern to join our team over the summer period. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate who wants hands‑on experience creating artwork across a range of digital and print formats. You will support the creative team by producing high‑quality, on‑brand artwork from briefs through to final delivery. Depending on business requirements, there may be an opportunity to assist in campaign concept development and attend an off‑site photo shoot and/or the opportunity to work on motion video editing.
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate and visually engaging artwork based on supplied briefs, templates, and brand guidelines.
- Prepare artwork for both digital and print outputs, ensuring files are production‑ready.
- Support the design team with revisions, amends, and adaptations of existing artwork.
- Apply brand guidelines consistently across all artwork and assets.
- Manage multiple small tasks at once, meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Quality‑check artwork for accuracy, layout, colour, and formatting before submission.
- Organise and maintain artwork files using agreed naming and version control practices.
- Collaborate with designers, marketeers, and other stakeholders, taking feedback positively and acting on it promptly.
- Potential opportunities to assist in campaign concept development and attend an off‑site photo shoot.
- Potential opportunity for motion video editing depending on knowledge of After Effects.
Skills Required
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Figma desirable (but can be taught if not).
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe After Effects would present an opportunity for motion video editing (but not a requirement).
- Strong attention to detail and a good eye for layout, typography, and colour.
- Ability to follow briefs and take creative direction clearly.
- Good time‑management and organisational skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a professional creative environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Studying towards or recently completed a qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Creative Media, or a related subject.
- Some experience creating artwork for digital or print (academic, personal, or placement work accepted).
- Familiarity with preparing files for print and/or digital use is desirable but not essential.
- A small portfolio or examples of artwork (student work acceptable).
