JOB PURPOSE
The Sourcing Assistant supports the coordination and execution of Burberry’s sourcing and supply chain activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring data accuracy, smooth vendor collaboration, and timely delivery across seasonal collections. Working closely with internal teams and global suppliers, you will contribute to operational excellence while supporting the quality and craftsmanship that define Burberry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and update PLM systems with accurate cost and product information throughout the season.
- Partner with vendors to validate data, ensuring alignment on pricing, materials and delivery timelines.
- Support delivery tracking by preparing planners, reviewing SAP reports, and following up on shipments.
- Collaborate with Finance to resolve pricing queries and ensure data consistency.
- Act as a key point of contact for suppliers, facilitating clear communication on timelines, requirements and updates.
- Coordinate with Product Development and Quality teams to address BOM, materials and production issues.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Experience in sourcing, production, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate data in fast-paced settings.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable using MS Office tools and systems such as PLM or SAP.
- Proactive and organised approach, with the ability to prioritise and adapt to change.
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
