We are hiring a Product Developer to play a central role in shaping Burberry’s Knitwear collections from concept through to production. Based in London, this role sits within our Product Development function and partners closely with Design, Product Engineering and our global vendor network. At Burberry, you will translate creative vision into beautifully crafted product, balancing innovation, quality and commercial integrity at every stage of development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner closely with Design as a technical collaborator, attending fittings and guiding feasibility to bring the creative vision to life in Knitwear.
  • Lead end‑to‑end development of knitwear styles, ensuring samples and prototypes are delivered on time, to quality standards and within cost targets.
  • Own and manage the critical path from concept to pre‑production, proactively identifying risks and driving solutions to maintain delivery timelines.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with vendors across Europe and Asia, aligning capability, cost and quality while protecting design intent.
  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of PLM data, communicating changes clearly to cross‑functional partners to avoid disruption.
  • Support and coach Product Development Assistants, sharing knowledge and encouraging continuous learning across categories.

  • Experienced in managing complex critical paths and vendor relationships across international supply bases.
  • Clear, inclusive communicator who collaborates effectively across functions and cultures.
  • Organised, adaptable and proactive, with a problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.
