The B2B & International Strategy Manager plays a key role in shaping Gap Inc.’s growth and performance across international markets. Reporting into the Senior Director, this role supports the strategic analysis, data management and generation of actionable insights to contribute to the development and execution of Regional, Market, Channel and Brand strategies that unlock sustainable growth, improve profitability, and strengthen competitive positioning outside North America.
Working closely with B2B & International functions (Commercial, Marketing, Buying & Merchandising, Operations, Digital Technology, Finance and HR), the Manager will lead strategy initiatives, contribute to long‑range planning, and translate complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations. This role combines analytical rigor, strategic problem solving, and strong cross‑functional collaboration to help provide distinct insights to guide critical decisions for B2B & International. The manager will also collaborate with Corporate Strategy and Brand Strategy teams.
What You’ll Do
- International & Brand Strategy Development: Support the development of international corporate and brand strategies, with a focus on market prioritization, entry and expansion strategies, business model analysis, channel and operational strategy, and growth initiatives. Partner with B2B & International Functional teams and Brand teams to support annual and multi‑year Long‑Range Plans, ensuring alignment to enterprise priorities and financial targets. Help identify and evaluate organic and inorganic growth opportunities across Regions and Markets.
- Strategic Analysis & Problem Solving: Structure and analyze complex business questions using quantitative and qualitative approaches, including financial modeling, market and competitive analysis, and scenario planning. Evaluate market performance, customer trends, and operating economics across international geographies to inform strategic recommendations. Synthesize insights into clear narratives, highlighting risks, trade‑offs, and implications for leadership decision making.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Execution: Serve as a strategic thought partner to cross‑functional teams in B2B & International. Support cross‑functional initiatives from strategy definition through early execution, helping align stakeholders, milestones, and success metrics. Contribute to test‑and‑learn pilots and help assess scalability across regions and brands.
- Leadership Communication & Enablement: Contribute to the development of executive‑ready presentations and materials to support Leadership Team reviews, B2B & International business updates, and stakeholder meetings. Lead the development of key market and customer insights reports and analysis, with well‑structured presentation materials and rigorous analysis to inform and support leadership decision making. Clearly communicate insights and recommendations to cross‑functional team leaders, adapting messages for diverse markets and audiences. Track performance and outcomes against strategy objectives, sharing learnings that inform ongoing refinement.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Strategy, Data & Analytics, Data Science, Operations, or a related field.
- 5‑10 years of experience in strategy, management consulting, retail/apparel, private equity, or related fields; International or multi‑market experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to break down complex problems, develop hypotheses, and translate analysis into actionable business recommendations.
- Strong analytical skills, with ability to collect, organize and analyze large / complex data sets efficiently and effectively including working with financial models.
- Clear, confident communicator with the ability to influence cross‑functional partners and engage effectively with senior leaders.
- Comfortable working in a matrixed, global environment with multiple priorities and evolving business needs.
- Curious, adaptable, and motivated by solving problems that drive growth and performance across International markets.
