Position Summary
As our Global KYC Team Lead, you’ll lead the end‑to‑end KYC lifecycle, support global compliance initiatives, and ensure our onboarding processes meet regulatory expectations across multiple jurisdictions. This hands‑on role balances operational oversight, stakeholder engagement, remediation projects, and quality assurance. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor on KYC, KYB, AML, and broader areas of anti‑financial crime. This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- You will drive enhancement projects, ensuring milestones are met and conducting quality checks on updated files to maintain accuracy and regulatory alignment.
- Acting as our subject matter expert, you’ll advise on KYC/KYB requirements, AML expectations, sanctions, and screening queries.
- You’ll also conduct and review CDD/KYC for tenants, suppliers, and other relevant parties, ensuring all due diligence meets internal and regulatory standards.
- A key part of the role involves investigating screening alerts, resolving high‑risk findings, and escalating issues where appropriate.
- You’ll develop policies and training to uplift KYC capability across the business and ensure teams remain aligned with evolving regulations.
- You’ll also prepare reports for the Head of Compliance, providing insights into onboarding performance, trends, and investor‑related screening outcomes.
- Throughout, you’ll collaborate cross‑regionally to support broader compliance initiatives and drive consistent standards across the group.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years’ end‑to‑end KYC experience (UK exposure preferred).
- Degree‑level education, ideally in Law, plus ACAMS/ICA or similar.
- Strong understanding of UK AML/KYC regulations.
- Experience of managing teams and balancing complex workloads.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- High‑level quality assurance capability and attention to detail.
- Experience in KYC enhancement or the real estate sector is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to travel occasionally.
