As our Head of Marketing Interaction, you’ll be part of the Brand team working closely with brilliant people across the business and reporting into Global Marketplace & GTM Director. You’ll be right at the heart of fast‑moving projects that shape how we show up for our consumers - today and tomorrow.
The Head of Market Interaction leads the market‑facing engine of Marketplace & GTM, ensuring real-time consumer, commercial and partner insight from key markets is systematically captured, synthesised and translated into upstream decisions. This role partners directly with General Managers, market leadership teams and priority partners to shape market strategies early enough to influence product creation, marketplace architecture and go‑to‑market plans. You act as the primary conduit between markets and global teams—bringing clarity on what markets need to win, validating readiness, and escalating risks or trade‑offs to enable fast, disciplined decisions.
By running a consistent signal‑to‑decision loop, this role ensures global plans remain grounded in market reality, execution risk is surfaced early, and Marketplace, Product and GTM leaders have the insight required to prioritise effectively.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Leading market strategy and insight integration, partnering with General Managers and market leadership teams to co-create market strategies, capture consumer and commercial signals, and translate insights into clear recommendations that shape global product, marketplace and GTM decisions.
- Driving market prioritisation and launch readiness, aligning regional priorities, validating readiness for key launches and ensuring market inputs are embedded into GTM planning, governance and execution.
- Influencing product and commercial decisions, coordinating upstream input from priority wholesale partners and key accounts while collaborating with Marketplace, Product, Merchandising and Brand Marketing to balance market needs with global brand and commercial objectives.
- Establishing governance and operating excellence, leading a consistent market engagement cadence, maintaining clear documentation of decisions, risks and actions, and continuously improving the quality and impact of market insights.
- Building and leading a high-performing team, developing the Market Interaction capability, coaching the team to deliver strategic recommendations rather than reporting, and fostering trusted relationships with markets and global stakeholders.
KEY SKILLS & CAPABILITIES
- Strong market and commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of regional market dynamics, consumer behaviour, channel performance and the commercial drivers that shape business decisions.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, able to synthesise complex market insights into clear, evidence-based recommendations that support senior decision-making.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability, with proven experience building trusted relationships and driving alignment across Marketplace, Product, Merchandising, Brand, GTM Operations, market leaders and external partners.
- Strong organisational and operational discipline, with the ability to establish governance, manage structured operating cadences, prioritise effectively and thrive in fast‑paced, evolving environments.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to present complex information clearly, create alignment across diverse stakeholder groups and lead teams with clarity, pace and impact.
At Dr. Martens, we are committed to creating an environment in which we can all be our best and bring our authentic selves to work. We encourage applications, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, age, veteran status, or disability. Diverse and inclusive teams have a positive impact on our brand; helping us to speak authentically to our consumers.
We strive to develop a business where our people can thrive and feel empowered to express themselves. Because we believe everyone should feel supported and included whatever their role in the Dr. Martens community.
