We are looking for an experienced Global Planner to join our Accessories Planning team, supporting the Men’s Leather Goods division. This is a key role within Burberry’s global planning organization, responsible for driving planning, forecasting and commercial analysis across seasonal and in‑season horizons. Working closely with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance and Regional teams, you will play a central role in shaping financially sound, creatively aligned collections and ensuring optimal performance across full price, margin and inventory. You will bring strong analytical capability, commercial instinct and a collaborative mindset to help drive profitable growth in a global luxury environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collection Development and Pre‑Season Planning
    • Drive global Open to Buy across pre‑season and in‑season trading for Men’s Leather Goods
    • Partner with Central Merchants to shape collections that meet both creative and financial objectives
    • Identify and quantify financial risks and opportunities during collection development
    • Lead raw material forecasting and commitments to support on‑time delivery
    • Deliver pricing analysis across price bands and door tiers to inform collection pricing strategy
    • Conduct hindsight analysis on option performance and productivity to inform future collections
  • Collection Open to Buy and Market Buy Support
    • Deliver central Collection Open to Buy guidance and validate regional submissions
    • Build Market Open to Buy guidance aligned to finalized assortments and category strategies
    • Challenge and review regional buys to ensure alignment with guidance and revenue targets
    • Assess re‑order, replenishment and carry‑forward thresholds and quantities
    • Provide unit forecasts to Supply Chain to support vendor capacity planning and negotiations
  • In‑Season Trading and Inventory Optimisation
    • Deliver regular trade reporting and performance analysis, highlighting risks and opportunities
    • Provide stock rebalance and action recommendations to optimise inventory efficiency
    • Manage re‑orders, pull‑forwards and delivery flows across Retail and Wholesale
    • Optimise delivery flow by balancing supply chain constraints with sales targets
    • Partner with regional teams to deep dive performance and provide central support
    • Coordinate free stock drops and support effective lifecycle and delist management
  • Margin Planning
    • Conduct category and division margin analysis to support sourcing, planning and finance teams
    • Embed margin targets within Global Open to Buy
    • Deliver scenario analysis to inform decision making and investment choices

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Proven experience in a global planning role within a luxury or premium commercial environment
  • Strong experience across Global Open to Buy, collection planning and margin planning
  • Excellent analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • A customer‑focused, solutions‑oriented approach to problem solving
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Experience with SAP is an advantage
