The Design Admin Assistant (DAA) provides strong administrative support to the Design team as well as design‑based tasks. Reporting into a Designer/Senior level role, they work collaboratively across the design departments, including with other DAA’s and the wider team. You will be an integral part of the group, building strong relationships with buying and garment‑tech counterparts.
Location: 4‑5 days per week at our North Acton office, with 0‑1 days working from home. England, United Kingdom.
What You Will Do:
- PLM management, including uploading tech packs and artworks, colours, setting up BOMs and training new team members where necessary.
- Email and supplier correspondence.
- Sample management from bought to development samples.
- Approval of trims, strike‑offs, artworks and lab dips.
- CP management.
- Ensure design and creative areas are kept presentable and tidy.
- Colour palette work – creating palettes, ordering colours and managing colour processes.
- Support teams in setting up seasonal Miro boards, building range boards, keeping boards updated during the creative process and archiving at the end of each design block.
- Sketch into samples/shapes/prints, dropping in print where directed.
- Embroidery and artwork packs.
- Research into competitors and inspirational brands.
- Meeting prep – set up rooms with print‑outs and/or samples before internal meetings.
- Design tracker management.
- Organise the copyright process.
What We’re Looking For:
- Good basic knowledge of competitor and aspirational brands.
- Interest in womenswear and wider trend awareness.
- Excellent CAD skills, including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- PLM experience preferred.
- A mindset that is flexible and resilient to change.
- Feel part of and contribute towards a positive creative culture.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards all aspects of work.
- Ideally a BA Honours in Fashion Design, Print, Illustration, Textiles, Footwear, Accessories Design, or relevant internship/work experience as a Design Admin.
